Spits gain point in shootout loss to Saginaw

The Spits battled back from three goals down to grab a point in a 5-4 shootout loss to the Saginaw Spirit.

Rookie Ivan Telegin netted two goals while former Leamington Flyer T.J. Brodie another making it 3-0 for the Spirit.  Greg Nemisz and Scott Timmins put Windsor on the board with Taylor Hall's goal putting Windsor even.  A Tyler Murovich's power-play goal for the Spirit wrapped up the second at 4-3 for the Spirit. Timmins scored on a Windsor power play in the third period taking the clubs to overtime.

Timmins, Richard Panik and Hall all missed in the shootout.  Garret Ross scored the winner on Saginaw's third shot.

Spits Troy Passingham finished with 18 saves.  The Spits play Thursday when the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds visit the WFCU Centre.
