(Windsor) Spitfires rookie goaltender Troy Passingham is the Windsor Spitfires Player of the Week as selected by the Spitfires coaching staff for the week ending Sunday, September 20th. Passingham posted a 1.46 goals against average and .900 save percentage in two games for the Spitfires this past week. Passingham stopped 10 of 11 shots as he helped lead the Spitfires back from a 5-1 deficit to tie the game in regulation, before losing to the Whalers 6-5 in a shootout in Windsor’s season opening game on September 17. The following night, he stopped 9 of 10 shots as the Spitfires dropped a 5-3 decision to the London Knights. |
