Spitfires Drop Exhibition Finale 8-4 to Erie

(Windsor) Earlier tonight, the Windsor Spitfires concluded their 2009 pre-season schedule, losing 8-4 to the Erie Otters in front of 5,175 fans at the WFCU Centre.  The Spitfires finished the pre-season with a 3-2 record.  Spitfire forwards Taylor Hall and Derek Lanoue each had 1 goal and 1 assist performances in a losing cause.

The Spitfires will open their 2009-2010 regular season schedule on Thursday, September 17th against the Plymouth Whalers at the WFCU Centre.  Game time is set for 7:05 p.m.  Fans are encouraged to arrive early as the team will be hosting a pre-game parking lot party starting at 5 p.m. outside of Gate 2 at the WFCU Centre.  Prior to the commencement of the game, the Spitfires will also be celebrating their 2009 MasterCard Memorial Cup and OHL Championship performances as part of a special on-ice ceremony.  Fans will also have the opportunity to take pictures with the Memorial Cup, J. Ross Robertson OHL Championship and the Wayne Gretzky Western Conference Championship Trophies at the parking lot party and during the first intermission.
