Toronto, ON – The Ontario Hockey League in association with broadcast partners Rogers TV, TV Cogeco, Eastlink, and Shaw TV, today announced their most extensive television broadcast schedule in league history which includes a total of 560 regular season games available to fans during the 2009-10 season.

Rogers TV will broadcast 306 games this season with TV Cogeco showing 204, and Eastlink broadcasting 34 games in Sudbury, with Shaw TV airing 16 games from Sault Ste. Marie.

Additionally, more than 80% of all regular season OHL games are available to viewers on the OHL Action Pak.  For the fifth straight year, fans can also see all 680 regular season OHL games live or in archive format through pay-per-view on INSINC at http://livestream.ontariohockeyleague.com/.

In addition to regular season coverage, Rogers TV will broadcast 11 exhibition games beginning Thursday September 3, 2009, when the Brampton Battalion hosts the Guelph Storm at 7:00 pm.

"We look forward to bringing another exciting season of OHL hockey on Rogers TV, TV Cogeco, Eastlink, Shaw TV, and INSINC, to fans across the league," says David Branch, Ontario Hockey League Commissioner.  “With the inclusion of exhibition games our fans will be even closer to the action this season with our most extensive broadcast schedule ever.  Our relationship with our broadcast partners has been very beneficial and we look forward to continued growth this season.”

The 2009-10 regular season begins Thursday September 17, 2009, with four games including the OHL and Memorial Cup Champions the Windsor Spitfires hosting the Plymouth Whalers at 7:05 pm.
